How do I cancel my subscription to the Smithsonian Earth streaming service on Apple devices?

You can cancel a subscription on your Apple devices by turning off auto-renew via iTunes on your computer or mobile device.

On your computer:

  1. Open iTunes, and from the Account menu, click ‘Sign In’
  2. Sign in with your Apple ID.
  3. From the Account menu, click ‘View My Account’.
  4. On the Account Information screen, scroll down to the Settings section.
  5. To the right of Subscriptions, click Manage.
  6. On the Subscriptions page, select Smithsonian Earth. (Note: If you don't see a subscription in iTunes and are still being charged, make sure that you're signed in with the correct Apple ID.)
  7. Turn off Automatic Renewal to cancel your subscription. Your subscription will stop at the end of the current billing cycle.


On your iPhone or iPad:

  1. Open your Settings
  2. Tap ‘iTunes & App Store’
  3. Tap your Apple ID and then ‘View Apple ID’. You might need to enter your password.
  4. Tap ‘Subscriptions’
  5. Select the Smithsonian Earth app
  6. Tap ‘Cancel Subscription’


On your Apple TV:

  1. Open your Settings
  2. On the Settings page, select ‘Accounts’
  3. On the Accounts page, select ‘Manage Subscriptions’
  4. Select the Smithsonian Earth option
  5. Select ‘Cancel Trial’ or ‘Cancel Subscription’
